Before a week, I purchased a couple of different BW films at Fotoimpex, Berlin. They arrived after about one week. Check out this beautiful chaos.
To get a better overview, I listed the films and to make it more interesting, the links behind them are of different kind. You will find links to technical information, test pictures, reviews, videos, comparisons, likes and dislikes.

An experienced photographer will see, that these 35mm films are ordered from slow to faster. Talking about film speed (and film grain)… The not so experienced reader gets some idea and some places to start researching the topic. Denae and Andrew published an almost one hour long video about BW films, that are of 400 ISO speed. Did you notice the yellow roles of film in the bag?

Some may have noticed roll film. This film is used for medium format photography. The negative size can be much bigger with this film. Besides the classic Kodak TriX and the well appreciated Ilford PanF I am ready to get experimental with the super low ISO Rollei RPX and the ridiculously high ISO Ilford Delta.

  • ROLLEI RPX 25
  • ILFORD PAN F PLUS 50
  • ROLLEI RETRO 80S
  • KODAK TRI-X 400
  • ILFORD DELTA 3200

Let me know, which film you shoot or want to try out. Nice, if you post some other links about the mentioned films that you enjoyed or just let me know, which one I definitely should try out. The comment field further down is the place to leave your prints…

So lets get shooting with… ILFORD PAN F PLUS 50 – now I am just waiting for the chemistry to arrive and the weather to stay as bad as it is anyhow. To me, it is exiting, how creative I can get before even taking the first shot!
